How to use and maintain cartridge heater?
Whether the machine, mold or heating elements needs maintenance to extend its service life and working efficiency, then the cartridge heaters we use is no exception. The following are some suggestions for use and maintenance cartridge heater:
1.The heating part of the cartridge heater should be completely immersed in the heating medium to avoid heat dissipation, and the cartridge heater should not be damaged by exceeding the allowable heating temperature. In addition, the lead-out part of the wire should be exposed outside the insulation layer of the heater or the heater to avoid overheating and damage.
2.The cartridge heaterterminal should be kept clean and dry, otherwise, the insulation performance is reduced and the short circuit fault. If a chemical or corrosive, flammable, explosive or other liquid or gas environment is used, a cartridge heatershould be used. The wiring part is protected by an insulating sealing device to prevent accidents.
3.When heating certain adhesives and other substances, such as sodium nitrate, stearic acid, paraffin, etc., the power supply voltage should be reduced during heating to reduce the heating of the single-head electric heating tube. Heat to rated voltage.
4.When inputting power, the voltage should not exceed 10% of the rated voltage, for various single-head electric heating tubes. If the electric heating tube is suitable for lower than the rated voltage, the heat generated by the cartridge heater will also be reduced.
